More exciting news from Gen Con as we get closer to event registration opening next month! · Artist & Author Guests of Honor - Announced for 2010 · Event Submission closing - March 12th · Event Pre-registration opening - April 11th · Volunteers - we need you for Indy 2010 Regards, Announcing our Artist and Author Guests of Honor for 2010! Gen Con is thrilled to announce Tom Baxa as our Artist Guest of Honor. Sink your teeth into some of his creations which will be found at the Art Show. For more information on Mr. Baxa and to check out some of his art work visit our website. This year’s Author Guest of Honor is the immortal Elizabeth Vaughan. Ms. Vaughan will be hosting seminars and workshops as part of our Get Literal: Writer’s Symposium program where you can sharpen your writing skills. For a complete list of the events she is participating in and for more information about Elizabeth, check out our website. Event Submission is About to Close … Have You Submitted Your Events? Event Submission closes Friday, March 12th. To ensure you have a space at “the best four days in gaming” make sure to get your events submitted by this date. The Events Department is currently reviewing and placing events in preparation for Event Registration opening so make sure your event(s) are included. For all the information you need to know on how to submit events, visit the HOST section of our website. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Events Department at events@gencon.com. Event Pre-Registration opens April 11th Mark your calendars! Event Pre-Registration will open on Sunday, April 11th, at noon (Eastern). About a week beforehand, events will be viewable online and the event catalogue will be available for downloading. If you’ve already purchased a badge, you’re good to go! If you haven’t, make sure your RUBI account is up-to-date and contact customerservice@gencon.com if you have any trouble purchasing a badge for Gen Con Indy 2010. Not sure if you can afford to join us for Gen Con Indy 2010? Sign up to volunteer, and you can get reimbursed for your 4-Day badge, along with other great benefits! Check out our Volunteer Program and choose the level that’s right for you. Badge reimbursements are given to all volunteers who work 16 hours or more at the show. Those who work at least 32 hours can get a partial hotel reimbursement. If you want to become a part of the Gen Con Family, consider joining the Mentorship Program. Whichever you choose, you’ll be helping to make “The Best Four Days in Gaming” a reality!
